Autopsy for Child Found Dead in a Car
An autopsy for the child who was found dead after being left alone in a parked car in Hancock County on Friday.
The autopsy did not show any abnormalities but a source tells News 25 he expects the cause of death to be heat exhaustion.
The body of three year old “Chyenn Hyer’ was found in a parked car with the engine running in the kiln Friday afternoon.
Today, Chyenn’s father, Ryan Hyer, called News 25 and told us, “This is the last thing you can expect to happen to your child… I cannot wrap my head around what happened.”
Long Beach Police Chief Wayne McDowell tells News 25 the child’s mother Cassie Barker a Long Beach police officer and Clark Ladner a Long Beach patrolman are involved in the incident.
The two are on paid administrative leave pending the results of an investigation being conducted by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.
