Audrey’s Southern Kitchen and Catering providing free Thanksgiving meal
Local business Audrey’s Southern Kitchen and Catering is serving free Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.
Owner Audrey Duncan tells News 25 that while tomorrow’s not Thanksgiving, we should give thanks every day. They’re partnering with Climb CDC, Extend a Hand Help a Friend, and Councilman Kenneth Casey to provide meals to anyone who shows up.
It’s curbside delivery and they’re asking that you remain in your vehicle and take the food home to enjoy with your family.
They’ll be serving all of the Thanksgiving classics from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow at 1526 Mills Avenue in Gulfport. Duncan said, “There’s a lot of people who are struggling right now and it means so much to me that I can stir up some cornbread and make a little dressing and put a lot of love into it and share it with the people in the community. It’s the least I can do.”
Audrey’s Southern Kitchen and Catering also works with Climb CDC, an organization providing local youth workforce opportunities that will lead to self-reliance. In the kitchen, they learn culinary skills from Ms. Audrey.
