Arrested for receiving/possessing stolen property and robbery in Biloxi

Biloxi Police arrested 22-year-old Demontra Tayshun Keyone Tucker of Biloxi for two counts of receiving/possessing stolen property and one count of robbery.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a vehicle burglary reported on April 14th in the 1800 Block of Popps Ferry Road Biloxi, MS 39532.

Witnesses identified Tucker as being in possession of some of the property stolen during the burglary. Officers located Tucker in the 800 Block of Motsie Road walking away from a 2019 Genesis G7 that had been reported stolen through Biloxi on March 13, 2020.

As officers attempted to contact Tucker, he fled into a wooded area south of Motsie Road. Tucker flagged down a citizen in the 800 Block of Cedar Lake Road and was given a ride to the 300 Block of Popps Ferry Road in West Biloxi.

Once in the area of Popps Ferry Road and Pass Road, Tucker allegedly struck the driver of the vehicle and took their cell phone. Tucker then fled into a wooded area in the area of Stennis Drive and Pass Road. Tucker was located coming out of the wooded area near Executive Place and Eisenhower Drive and taken into custody without further incident.

A bag containing stolen property from the original vehicle burglary was recovered from the wooded area south of Motsie Road in the path traveled by Tucker. Tucker was charged with two counts of receiving/possessing stolen property and one count of robbery.

His bond was set at $30,000 ($10,000 per charge) by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain. Tucker was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
