Arrested on a felony charge of burglary of a dwelling
On Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of 28-year-old Damion Raiford on a felony charge of burglary of a dwelling.
According to Sheriff Troy Peterson, Harrison County Sheriff’s Investigators responded to the 18000 block of Robinson Road in Gulfport on a burglary in progress call. Upon arrival investigators spoke to a witness who saw a vehicle pull up to the residence and kick in the front door, leaving with a television.
The witness was able to give a vehicle description and a tag number of the suspect vehicle. A short time later, investigators located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Dedeaux Road in Gulfport.
Investigators identified the suspect responsible for the burglary as Damion Raiford who was arrested and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Diamon Raiford was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility and charged with burglary of a residence. Raiford is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
