Arrested on charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault
On Monday, October 23, 2017, Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of 34-year-old Terrance Lee Dorsey of Pass Christian on the felony charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault-domestic violence.
According to Sheriff Troy Peterson, Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, deputies forced entry into the residence locating the victim who was bound by duct tape. Deputies located Terrance Dorsey hiding under a bed and placed him under arrest. Deputies learned from the victim, the girlfriend of Dorsey, that Dorsey had assaulted, strangled, and bound the victim with duct tape. The victim also stated that she was able to free her hands and call for help. The victim was treated and released at a local area hospital.
Terrance Lee Dorsey was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility and charged with one felony count of kidnapping and one felony count of aggravated assault domestic violence. Dorsey is being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Dianne Ladner.
Dorsey was also served with an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest for one count of burglary of a shed. Dorsey is also being held in lieu of $50,000 set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray.
