Arrested for burglary of a dwelling

Nineteen-year-old Austin Pennington is now behind bars for one felony count of burglary.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson tells News 25 deputies responded to a complaint of a burglary in the 12,000 block of Canal Road on July 1^st.

Pennington was suspected of recent burglaries in the area and a search warrant was conducted for his home. Several reported stolen items were found in Pennington’s bedroom.

He is being held without bond until his initial appearance.
