Arrest Made In Fatal Hit And Run

A Moss Point man is now behind bars in connection to a fatal hit and run accident in D’iberville Saturday.

Police arrested 24-year-old Markey Tanner on the charge of hit and run causing death. The victim, 22- year-old Megan Dekleinhans, was pronounced dead after she was transported to Merit Health. She was walking across Lamey Street, just north of Brodie Road when hit. Tanner is booked at the Harrison County Jail on a total bond of $500,000.
