Another 18-wheeler gets stuck on tracks in Long Beach

Earlier today in Long Beach, an 18-wheeler became stuck on the railroad tracks, something that seems to be a growing problem across South Mississippi.
The semi-truck’s driver attempted to cross the tracks at Nicholson Avenue at around 8:45 this morning. There is signage posted in the area warning large trucks not to cross, but the driver approached the tracks from the south and became stuck.
Crews from CSX halted traffic on the railways and after about an hour, a wrecker was able to remove the truck from the tracks.
Long Beach Police Department also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
