Annual Windy Swetman Kettlethon raising funds for Salvation Army

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- A South Mississippi family was on the streets of Biloxi Thursday helping to raise funds for our local Salvation Army efforts this Christmas.

Windy Swetman, members of his family, and Salvation Army representatives spent most of the day at the corner of Highway 90 and Porter Avenue waving to drivers and collecting money for the Red Kettle campaign.

Swetman says the past 13 years of hosting this Kettlethon has raised a lot of money and brought joy to his family and others across the Coast.

Funds raised at the Kettlethon go specifically towards not only holiday operations, but the Salvation Army’s year-round efforts locally.
