Annual Thanksgiving Meal at Gulf Coast Rescue Mission

Volunteers at the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission in Biloxi spent the day preparing a delicious home cooked meal with all the trimmings for their annual Thanksgiving meal tomorrow.
Each year, the mission puts this special Thanksgiving dinner together for those who can’t afford their own meal, don’t have family nearby or just like to stop by as tradition. Between 500 and 600 meals will be served between the hours of noon and 4 p.m.
Everyone is invited to come enjoy the good food and fellowship all made possible by donations. Gulf Coast Rescue Mission Office Manager Tammy Mims said, “They’ll have the turkeys and the ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, all kinds of vegetables, definitely good dessert and casseroles and other things and rolls. We’ve got a good bunch of guys and they’ve been working hard this week and we’re going to see it pay off tomorrow.”
The Gulf Coast Rescue Mission is still looking for volunteers. If you’re interested, just show up tomorrow between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
