Annual State Supervisors Convention
Representatives from 82 counties chose the Mississippi Gulf Coast to host their annual convention.
The 87th annual Mississippi Association of Supervisors Convention is being held at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. The convention has been underway since Monday, filled with meetings, speeches and different sessions all concerning state issues, business, education and general matters.
Harrison County Supervisor Beverly Martin tells News 25 having county reps from all over the state staying for the convention is a big economic impact for the Coast. “It’s been a big shot in the arm for hotels and restaurants. These people like to eat out and stay in the hotels. They brought their families so they’re enjoying all the amenities we have to offer.”
The final day of the convention is tomorrow.
