Annual State of Biloxi Address
Biloxi Mayor FoFo Gilich gave Biloxi’s annual State of the City Address today at the Beau Rivage.
The mayor spoke to a packed room about the dozens of projects that have been going on in the City of Biloxi throughout the year.
Some of the many things that were touched on during the address were the restoration of Howard Avenue, the new construction that is now going on around the Biloxi Lighthouse, the Popp’s Ferry Causeway Construction, and the new work that is now beginning on the West Biloxi Boardwalk.
Mayor Gilich told News 25 that the theme of this speech is ‘happening now.’ “There are things that were planned and you know, funding sources, in ’18 we have to cross a lot of ‘T’s’ and dot a lot of ‘I’s’ but there is much more happening in 2018, but it’s happening now and that was the passion of my little speech. It’s amazing that here we are and it’s moving forward and the train is picking up steam.”
Mayor Gilich says many projects that have been a vision for a number of years are becoming a reality.
