Anniversary of Missing sailor in Jackson County

It was Valentine’s Day 1995 when a Navy sailor in Jackson County went missing.
According to Pascagoula police, Ronald Duck Jr. was alive during the early morning hours on February 14th, 1995 when he was scheduled to board the U.S.S. Stephen Groves, but never made it on the ship. The weekend before his scheduled departure, he spent time with relatives where he told them he was afraid to go back home because he turned in another sailor for drugs.
Those investigating the case believe there are still people out there who have details. Captain Doug Adams with Pascagoula PD said, “Anything that anyone can bring us in this case will help us put the pieces of the puzzle together. You know, people don’t realize what we may already know and what little bit they can offer may add to the piece and make it just a little bigger, so any information about what happened 23 years ago to Mr. Duck, we are more than welcome to hear anything anybody has to say.”
If you have any information regarding the case you are urged to contact the Pascagoula Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
