Angel Tree Sponsors Needed
Believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner and the Salvation Army works to make sure every child has something to open on Christmas morning.
Registration is underway for their Angel Tree Program in which the Salvation Army provides gifts for the children of families in need. As families begin to register, the Salvation Army is looking for community sponsors.
Those who sponsor Angels can put a tree in their business, host a toy drive, or purchase gifts for those in the program. Lt. Brian Hicks with the Salvation Army said, “If it weren’t for the help of the community, then a lot of these families wouldn’t have Christmas on Christmas morning. To be able to step alongside the community, we’re not doing it by ourselves. It’s the community that actually helps get this done. It’s very important that we have those partnerships.”
