Affordable Housing Public Meeting
Biloxi residents and city leaders voiced either support or rejection for the affordable housing proposal in east Biloxi during today’s public meeting.
The city is looking to sell 14 acres of land for more than $523,000. City officials say houses in the area would be for working families in the 20-40,000 dollar a year income range.
If passed, the city would sell land located at the old city barn site at the east end of Division Street, the site of O’Reilly Park on Division as well as a third site on Holley Street.
The city council members will take an official vote on the affordable housing proposal during tonight’s meeting.
