Advocates for Freedom Annual Fundraiser

A fashion show tomorrow night will showcase stylish clothing from five local boutiques while raising awareness about human trafficking.
Advocates for Freedom is a non-profit, faith based organization dedicated to ending the exploitation, sale and enslavement of men, women and children on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and beyond.
Tomorrow night, they will put on their biggest fundraiser of the year “Fashion for Freedom.” Seventeen vendors will be on hand this year selling cosmetics, jewelry, mini-massages and more for a good cause. Tickets are only $10. Proceeds go to Advocates for Freedom to help fight human trafficking through education and spreading awareness.
Sharon Robbins with Advocates for Freedom said, “We go out there. We do teaching on speaking. We do teaching on advocacy and teach them how to do fundraisers to raise money. We do help victims. I have transported several victims to safe houses. I know just one victim alone costs $3,000 to get them placed in a safe home and get them established to get their life back.”
The event starts at 6:30 tomorrow night at Cedar Lake Christian Assembly in Biloxi. Visit advocatesforfreedom.org for more information on human trafficking or the event.
