Accident causing delays on I-10 in Hancock County

An accident on I-10 has all east bound lanes blocked.
Diamondhead Fire Chief Jerry Dubuisson says a Diamondhead fire truck was struck by a van as they attempted to extract a passenger from a vehicle.
The accident has all east bound lanes blocked as officials work the scene. Traffic is being directed off the Highway 603 ramp and getting back on the on ramp to go around the accident. Emergency vehicles also have the left west bound lane blocked as well.
MDOT says the delay could last over an hour. Officials advise you to avoid the area if possible.
