Married couple killed in house fire in Moss Point identified
MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- A weekend house fire in Moss Point has claimed the lives of a married couple.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 3600 block of Julia Circle just after 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
When crews arrived, the house was already heavily involved in smoke and flames.
Firefighters searched the home and rescued two people, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jackson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims as 83-year-old Adam Williams and 73-year-old Lineatha Williams. Officials with the coroner’s office tell News 25 the cause of death for both victim is smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
