Waveland man faces felony drug charges after traffic stop

A Waveland man faces felony drug charges after cocaine, pills and marijuana were found during a traffic stop on Thursday.
Waveland Chief Mike Prendergast said officers stopped a gold Lexus on Highway 90 about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
During stop, officers searched the vehicle and found prescription pills, marijuana and a bag of cocaine.
Charles Jamal Nichols, 36, of Waveland, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Another person in the vehicle, Wilbert Ruglo of Bay St. Louis, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Both men were taken to the Hancock County jail. Nichols is being held without bond pending an initial appearance.
