Fort Bayou Bridge closing tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Fort Bayou Bridge in Jackson County is closing tonight so crews can work on correcting a malfunction that tied up traffic yesterday.

The bridge was stuck in the up position for several hours yesterday. It’s closing tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for repairs.

Drivers are advised to find an alternate route during those hours and please drive slow and watch out for crews working in the area.
