Plenty events ahead at the MS Aviation Museum in Gulfport
The Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum in Gulfport has a lot in store for the summer.
On Tuesday, June 7th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 104-year-old Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Emond will be visiting the museum to tell stories about his experience during Pearl Harbor.
The museum will also kick off their aviation summer camp with the first session starting on June 13th. Kids will learn about robotics, flight simulation, 3D printing, and aviation history. Francisco Gonzalez with the museum said, “The motivation behind the Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum is to empower these kids, to get their self-esteem up, and to think of the things that they can do in aviation that will give them a good life, a productive life.”
Educational Director Todd Young said, “Every child should have the chance or the opportunity to become an aviator so our summer camp is going to allow kids to have interest.”
The camp will be broken down into three sessions. Lunch will be provided. The cost is $250. For more information visit msaviationmuseum.org.
