5/26 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
Tonight will be mild and humid with lows in the mid to lower 70s on the coast, and upper 60s inland. A few areas could see patchy fog tonight into Monday morning. The Summer-like pattern continues with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The heat index value will run in the mid 90s for your Memorial Day. Take it easy and drink plenty of water if you’re going to be outside. This pattern sticks around and doesn’t change much through the Wednesday. The highs will be in the upper 80s along the coast, and north of I-10 will likely see lower 90s. By Thursday the pattern begins to change slightly and with high pressure move to the east we could see a few showers develop during the heat of the afternoon. This continues into the weekend, but rain chances should remain fairly low with only a few downpours developing each afternoon.
