Free pizza for U.S. Coast Guard members

The partial government shutdown over the last month has caused a financial strain for many including the U.S. Coast Guard.

To help out members of the Coast Guard, Domino’s Pizza in Long Beach and Kings Second Chance have teamed up to give them a hot meal.

Domino’s donated around 60 pizzas and King’s Second Chance delivered them to local Coast Guard members. Store Manager Misty Dixon said, “Well, it always feels really good to give back in any way, whether it is big or small, this just happens to be a big way. So, it is very heartwarming. They take care of us on a completely different level than food and we just have an opportunity to take care of them in this way.”

If you would like to donate canned food or home good items to local Coast Guard members there are drop boxes located at all of the Tractor Supply Stores around the Coast.
