Jacked Up Coffee Bar grand opening
A new coffee bar is open on Howard Avenue in Biloxi that will be bringing the feel of New Orleans right here to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Jacked Up Coffee Bar has been open for six months, but tonight they celebrated their success so far and had their official grand opening. Biloxi Councilwoman Dixie Newman is the owner.
She opened Jacked Up in conjunction with French Truck Coffee based out of New Orleans to give a unique experience to our area and to add to the revitalization of downtown Biloxi.
Tonight they rolled out new menu items like coffee cocktails and just in time for Mardi Gras, king cake monkey bread and lattes.
They had a packed house tonight for the celebration with live music and enough caffeine to go around. “It’s kind of like a dream come true. You know, something fun and fascinating. I never was into coffee to begin with, but I love coffee and I loved going to independent coffee shops in other states and what not. I just love the independent and industrial feel. We hope to have walking traffic in front of us here soon and just more to come, I hope,” said Newman.
If you aren’t a coffee fan, next week they are expanding their food menu to add lunch items like crab dip and spinach oyster dip.
