Mississippi State Golden Egg Tour

After beating Ole Miss 35 to 3 in the Egg Bowl, the Mississippi State Bulldogs hit the road to start their Golden Egg Tour.

Mississippi State mascot Bully stopped by Gulfport City Hall and he didn’t come alone. He brought the Golden Egg Trophy for fans to hold and take pictures with. The trophy is updated with the score of last Thursday’s game in front.

Bully and the Golden Egg will travel all over the state as a token of appreciation for all Bulldog fans and their support throughout the season. Mississippi State Assistant Athletic Director Rhett Hobart said, “They come to games. They come to see us on the road. They came to Oxford to support us at the Egg Bowl. So, now we want to come to them with our trophy. We have the trophy. We have Bully here going around the state with us taking the Golden Egg right to our fans to their hometown. We let them take pictures with it, actually hold it, feel it and really be a part of the game itself.”

Before leaving, Bully got a chance to walk in Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes’ shoes and sit in his chair for a brief second.
