11/4 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
Heavy rain moving through the area tonight will start to diminish over the next hour. It will be a mild, humid one with lows only dipping into the upper 60s. With moisture and lighter winds we could see patchy fog develop for your Monday morning commute. On Monday a frontal boundary and trough will stay to the north, and most of the day will be dry. There is a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms. As you go into North Mississippi and Tennessee the severe weather threat increases dramatically. Use caution if you’re traveling up there tomorrow afternoon and night. By Tuesday the front will approach South Mississippi and increase chances for showers and few thunderstorms. For voting it could be a wet one, but still not expecting any major problems at this time. The front will stall out in the area and rain chances will stick around the entire week. Showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible every day. By Friday a stronger cold front moves through and for the weekend it looks like we clear out once again. We’ll have to watch temperatures Sunday morning…some models want to give a few upper to mid 30s in the area.
