Storm damage in Gulfport

The severe weather over the past few days has taken its toll on locals at the Southern Oaks trailer park in Gulfport.

The recent thunderstorms didn’t just cause high flooding in areas, but roofs are also damaged due to the storms. The thunderstorm caused lightning to strike a tree which landed on a roof of a mobile home. The tree caused a power outage in a man’s home.

The Southern Oaks trailer park typically isn’t an area for flooding. However, power outages occur often when severe weather occurs.

One resident hopes to have the tree removed soon before future storms cause more harm to the roof.
