Spring Break 2018

Spring breakers tried to make the most out of the stormy weekend as some traveled from as far as Chicago.

News 25’s Jaylon Morris has the recap on spring break weekend.

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade..

And when Mother Nature gave thousands of spring breakers severe weather, they made their weekend brighter than the sun itself….

“We all decided to come to black beach and have a good time. So, as long as it’s not a tornado or anything, we here and we are going to have a good time, stay safe and basically enjoy each other.”

  • Local Promoter Latraye Johnson

And with the spring fest and car show taking place on Saturday night, who needs the beach? Especially when it’s your birthday.

Hebert Floyd, “They threw me a little surprise birthday party because my birthday was on the twelfth. You know we enjoyed ourselves.”

We are sure hebert had a great time, however, his birthday party wasn’t the only buzz around town…

“The rain kind of stopped us in the beginning but after that everybody got situated and did what they had to do so we had a good time. We didn’t go to the concert but they did have a club called levels and it was poppin till 5 so we was out there.”

  • Reva Broussard

Staying out until 5 in the morning means the sun wasn’t out just yet, but as far as the whole “making your day brighter” scenario goes…

“We are just out here enjoying life and meeting new people. We don’t know them. We just having fun.”

  • Hebert Floyd

“I came out here with my girls to have a good time, to cut up. Its Spring Break!”
