C-130J Aircraft return from exercise

You may have spotted a formation of four Air Force planes flying over Biloxi today. The four C130 J Super Hercules aircrafts carried members from several 403rd Wing Squadrons returning to Keesler Air Force Base from a special deployment exercise.
One by one these four C130J Aircraft landed safely at Keesler Air Force Base, returning from an exercise mission in Arkansas, honing in on their combat airlift skills they would use during a real world deployment. 815th Airlift Squadron Commander Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Rubio said, “We would fly into the simulated combat area and we would air drop those so we’re simulating folks that we can’t get to them on the ground. So, we’re dropping in supplies, whether it’s food or water or ammunition, also equipment that they may need.”
For the past two weeks, members of the 815th Airlift Squadron, 803rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and 41st Aerial Port Squadron participated in exercise ‘Green Flag’ at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas and joined up with units at Fort Polk Army Installation in Louisiana. “Coming together and working as a total force really shows the professionalism of the air crew members that we hadn’t met each other, but we came together and we flew together and we accomplished a very challenging mission over the last two weeks,” said Lt. Col. Rubio.
These squadrons will continue to train and prepare until they leave in a real deployment to the Middle East next year. 803rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander Major Brian Horton said, “It’s crucial to get us ready to go to war. The main thing is getting away from home for a little bit, getting out of that comfort level and just getting ready.”
