Gaming Commission Meeting Today in D’Iberville

Two groups are hoping to submit winning proposals with the state’s gaming commission today, as they share their plans for casino developments here in South Mississippi.
The RW Development Group is presenting their plans for a project called South Beach Casino that would be located at the intersection of Veterans Avenue and Highway 90 in Biloxi, a proposal that the former board of commissioners shot down back in 2008.
Also on the agenda is a proposed casino in Diamondhead presented by Jacobs’s Entertainment, a project that was also denied by a former board of commissioners in 2014.
Public input will also be allowed at today’s meeting.
The commission is not expected to vote on either project until a later date, possibly the commission’s next scheduled meeting on March 16th in Biloxi.
