Moore Community House in Biloxi searching for new teachers

The Moore Community House is seeking employment from anyone willing to help.

The Moore Community House is a nonprofit early head start program that has been running for more than 90 years.

Currently, the house is looking to open a new program in Gulfport but is unable to due to a lack of teachers.

The organization currently has three centers which can fill 21 classrooms, but only has enough staff to open 12. With the new hires and a new program, the house can fill up to 26 classrooms.

For people interested in applying, no credentials are required.

The house will put new hires through a training program so they can receive their CDAs. Moore Community House Family Health Service Specialist Katina Spaulding said, “It would mean the world to us to be able to open these classrooms to give those parents some relief. Right now, they are paying for child care or the children are sitting at home with family members not really learning or prospering so if we can get those children into our program, off of our waiting list and into our classroom it would be a big help for us.”
