Mississippi Aquarium holding second annual Otter Trotter 5K

The Mississippi Aquarium is preparing to host their second annual Otter Trotter 5K Thanksgiving morning.

Before the feast, work up an appetite with Bayou the Otter and others participating in the race. The route begins and ends at the Aquarium.

Registration includes admission to the aquarium Thanksgiving Day, which will open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mississippi Aquarium Public Relations and Communications Director Jeff Clark says last year’s event was such a success and encourages everyone to participate this time around. “We had a great turnout last year. The turnout was so good, we thought why don’t we do it again this year. It started last year because of COVID and there hadn’t been a lot of events so we came up with this idea. It’s outdoors. We can bring the community together, bring people together. People had such a great time we decided to do it again this year. It’s a great time for the whole family.”
