MHSAA moves football championships to Southern Miss
For any Coast teams that end up making a run to state championship weekend, the drive just got a little shorter and the home field advantage just got a lot better.
Today, the Mississippi High School Activities Association voted to move the state title games to Southern Miss for the third time in four years due to Jackson State possibly holding the SWAC championship game.
Albeit a different location, the schedule is staying exactly the same, starting Friday, December 3rd with class 3A kicking things off at 11 a.m., 1A at 3 p.m. and 6A at 7 p.m.
The same thing Saturday, the 4th with 4A at 11, 2A at 3, and 5A at 7.
