NYC Firefighters Bring Toys to Coastal Children

On Saturday, December 13th, Jackson County Civic Action Committee, Inc. will host the 10th annual toy giveaway in conjunction with the New York City firemen. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jackson County Civic Action, East Jackson County Service Complex located at 5343 Jefferson Avenue in Moss Point.

All preschool and elementary-aged children are welcome to attend. Children will receive a free toy, while supplies last, and meet Santa. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera to photograph their child with Santa. Children must be present to receive a free toy. Also, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

This year will be the 10th year the New York City Firemen have visited the Mississippi Gulf Coast and participated in this toy give-away event. The first event took place during the holiday season of 2005 after Hurricane Katrina; it was titled Katrina Kids. Each year the firemen return to spread cheer to children all along the Gulf Coast.
