9/6 – Rob’s “Back Door Cold Front” Forecast
An elevated cold front which brought cloudy skies and rain to the area yesterday…lingers along the Gulf coast. Today will bring mostly cloudy skies with showers/t-storms through this evening. Late afternoon, drier air will begin to filter in as the back-door cold front begins to move SW and clear the area. Drier air will provide mostly sunny skies through Friday as the mercury climbs back into the 90s. A weak tropical wave is expected to move across the Gulf this weekend bringing moisture and elevated rain potential.
