Homeless man kidnaps and robs Good Samaritan in Harrison County

A homeless man is behind bars after kidnapping and robbing a Good Samaritan on Monday.
After responding to a reported kidnapping at the Legacy Inn on Canal Road, deputies located a victim who stated he met the suspect, Ernest Leffew, outside a church asking for a ride. The victim stated that after giving him a ride, Leffew held him at knifepoint, demanding the victim’s wallet.
Leffew then allegedly forced the victim to drive him to several ATMs and withdraw money. Leffew forced him to the Legacy Inn where he tied the victim up and stole his truck.
Leffew was later located and charged with felony kidnapping and armed robbery.
