Ocean Springs Pulls Away from Harrison Central for 34-6 Week 10 Win
GULFPORT, Miss. — Ocean Springs picked up its second regional win of the season Friday night, taking down Harrison Central 34-6 in a Week 10 matchup.
The Greyhounds carried a 12-6 lead into the third quarter before finding their offensive rhythm and pulling away from the Red Rebels.
Quarterback Chalmers Berglind led the charge, connecting with Daniel Johnson, Khalif Ragin and Elmore Wonsley Jr. on key completions to move the Greyhounds down the field.
Ocean Springs eventually turned to Johnson, who powered his way into the end zone for a rushing touchdown to extend the lead.
The Greyhounds weren’t finished there. Ocean Springs added some creativity to the two-point conversion attempt as Berglind tossed the ball to Ragin, who quickly flipped it to Johnson for the successful conversion and a 20-6 advantage.
The Greyhounds carried that momentum through the remainder of the night, pulling away for a convincing 34-6 victory.
With the win, Ocean Springs secured its second regional victory of the season as both teams wrapped up their Week 10 test.
