Woman killed in pedestrian involved accident in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-A woman was killed in a pedestrian involved accident in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Jim Ramsey Road and Meadowglen Road in Vancleave.

Upon arrival, deputies located the pedestrian, identified as Barbara Joann McComas. Despite deputies performing life saving measures, McComas succumbed to her injuries on scene.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigated the incident. No charges are expected against the driver following the investigation.
