City of Long Beach shares update on harbor projects

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Long Beach is sharing updates on upcoming projects for the harbor.

Projects are currently out for bid and officials also talk about the future improvements in the design stages.

Mayor Tim Pierce says they released the request for bids.

The western jetty will have a protection wall. Mayor Pierce says that was the last vulnerable spot to protect against hurricanes.

He also shared details on a future project still in the works.
