Four arrested following child abuse investigation in Ocean Springs
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- Four people have been arrested in Ocean Springs following a child abuse investigation.
At 9 a.m. Thursday, investigators with Ocean Springs Police Department went to a residence and arrested and charged four people with sexual battery of a child. Those arrested are:
- 29-year-old Brandon Hinkle
- 25-year-old Carlyn Hinkle
- 23-year-old Hailey Prentice
- 41-year-old Blake McCool
Additionally, Brandon and Carlyn Hinkle were each charged with touching a child for lustful purpose. Bond was set at $250,000 for each charge.
The investigation included three children ages 6, 4, and 3. The children are currently in the custody of Child Protective Services.
The investigation remains ongoing. No further information will be released at this time to protect the privacy of the children involved.
