Absentee ballots now available for 2026 general election

In-person and mail-in absentee ballots are now available in circuit clerk offices for the 2026 midterm elections in Mississippi.

Those elections are set for Tuesday, November 3.

If you cannot visit your circuit clerk’s office during the work week, Saturday in-person absentee voting will be available on October 24 and October 31 from 8 a.m. until noon.

In-person absentee voting will look a little different this year due to legislation passed during the 2026 session.

Paper absentee ballots will still be used, but instead of placing them into an envelope and then the ballot box, eligible voters will feed them directly into voting machines.

The last day to vote in person absentee is October 31. All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day.
