Harrison Central’s Saniyah Murray announces her commitment to Mississippi State University!
It was a big Thursday afternoon in South Mississippi as one of the top basketball recruits in the country announced where she will continue her collegiate career. Harrison Central four-star power forward Saniyah Murray has officially announced her commitment to Mississippi State University.
Murray, one of the most highly sought-after players in the country, had offers from programs across the nation. After taking her official visit to Starkville last weekend, the Dandy Dozen selection chose to stay close to home and join the Bulldogs. Murray is coming off a standout junior season at Harrison Central. The four-star forward averaged 22.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, helping lead the Red Rebels to the state championship game earlier this year. Murray spoke with WXXV about what the commitment means to her and the significance of continuing her basketball career in Mississippi. You can hear her answers in the video above!
Congratulations to Saniyah Murray on this major achievement, and we look forward to watching her finish her senior season at Harrison Central before beginning the next chapter of her basketball career with the Bulldogs.
