We don’t get many completely rain-free days during the summer in South Mississippi, but it looks like we’ll see a few in a row coming up as we finish off the week and head into the weekend. High pressure strengthening in from the east, and upper level high pressure is building as well, which will combine to keep skies nearly completely cloud-free along with rain-free. Temperatures will continue to rise slightly, but will still feel quite nice thanks to noticeably lower humidity in the area. Today’s high will climb a degree over yesterdays, hitting 91° later on with heat indices only climbing into the mid 90s. By Saturday highs will climb back to near Heat Advisory levels due to the increasing pressure, but will begin to fall as we head into next week and afternoon shower chances bump back up.
