Update: Suspect in custody after reported shooting near Crossroads Parkway

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Gulfport Police are investigating after shots were fired near Crossroads Parkway late Monday morning.

According to preliminary information, gunfire was reported in the area around 11 a.m. Officers quickly responded to the scene and launched an investigation.

Authorities have since apprehended a suspect in connection with the incident.
