‘Fixed for Life’ program receives grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation
The Gulf Coast Community Foundation provided six coastal animal welfare agencies with a $25,000 grant.
These grants go towards the ‘Fixed for Life’ program, a no cost spay and neuter program. Those agencies receiving the grant include:
- Rise and Shine Animal Rescue
- Humane Society of South Mississippi
- Friends of the Animal Shelter in Hancock County
- Friends of the Jackson County Animal Shelter
- Pearl River SPCA
- Stone County SPCA
‘Fixed for Life’ services begin on October 1 and will go through March 1, 2027.
Each agency is handling all program details; you’re advised to contact your county agency directly.
The community foundation says that last year over 1,400 cats and dogs were spayed or neutered through the program.
