08/21 Ryan’s “Few More Storms” Friday Morning Forecast
Expect a few more storms today than we saw yesterday with dangerous heat lingering.
Expect today to be considerably “more” than yesterday with more afternoon heat and more showers and thunderstorms. Not expecting today to be a washout though. Shower and thunderstorm activity will still be confined to the afternoon hours, but with deeper moisture. That’ll lead to higher rainfall accumulations where it falls, but still expect the spotty, random nature to the showers and storms. This environment isn’t typically conducive to tornado development, but gusting, potentially severe level (60+ mph) winds are certainly possible. Have a way to get warnings handy, like our free WXXV Weather Authority app, should any be issued.
For today, expect a high near 96 with heat indices climbing near 110 and light southwesterly winds near 10 mph. Chance of rain is 40%.
