07/24 Ryan’s “Drying Up” Friday Morning Forecast

We saw some wet weather a few times this week, but things are drying up for the next several days.

This has been an interesting week in weather, with a tropical storm passing close by, but now things are drying up quickly. We started off the week dry and hot with temperatures near 100 and only a few afternoon storms. Then, Tropical Storm Bertha brought very little rain Wednesday, but things cooled down due to the grey skies and breezy weather. Yesterday still saw some rain, but now things are drying up as high pressure dominates the local weather pattern for the next several days. That’ll lead to more sunshine and even hotter weather, seeing a return to the triple digits by the middle of next week…competing for the hottest days of the year so far.

For today, expect another subtle bump into the mid 90s, high climbing to near 94 degrees under largely mostly sunny skies, though a quick pop of thicker cloud cover through the late afternoon isn’t out of the question. Heat indices won’t reach Heat Advisory levels, staying just below the 105° mark today, but climbing over it by Saturday afternoon.
