Summer camp wraps up for students at MS Aviation Heritage Museum

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- South Mississippi students recently wrapped up a summer of fun learning at the Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum.

This year’s summer camp took students on a field trip to Gulfport-Biloxi International’s air traffic control tower as well as engaging lessons in aerodynamics, flight simulation, and 3D printing.

The biggest part of this year’s camp was that students got hands-on experience in building a real airplane, which will fly sometime this winter.
