6/13 – Rob’s Monday Afternoon Forecast

After a gloomy start this morning, the cloud coverage continues with showers & thunderstorms expected this afternoon. The SPC has our area in a SLIGHT THREAT for SEVERE WEATHER: small hail and gusty winds will be the main threat. A blocking pattern with several frontal boundaries to our north will keep the very unstable air along the gulf states. Showers & thunderstorms will continue through the week and into the Father’s Day weekend, with the exception of Wednesday which will bring a lull in the activity.
