07/10 Ryan’s “Normal Summer Day” Friday Forecast
Today will be another fairly typical, normal summer day in South MS.
No surprises today as we head into another beautiful and perfectly normal summer afternoon in South MS. That means it’ll be hot, humid, with plenty of sun, and at least a few showers/thunderstorms in the warmth of the afternoon. That’s pretty much been the last couple of weeks in a nutshell, though the last couple of days have been a bit on the drier side with fewer showers. This afternoon will see those shower chances creep back up into the 20-30% range, where they will remain through Saturday. At that point, the skies darken further and we’re looking at a handful of truly rainy days moving in to begin next week. That’s due to a slowly approaching front, which will keep cloudy skies and rain chances in excess of 60% in place through the middle of next week.
For today, expect a high near 92° with initially clear skies giving way to mostly sunny-partly sunny clouds in the afternoon. That’s when we’ll see the bulk of any isolated shower activity if we’re going to get it, though they’ll clear up quickly as we head into the night.
